Aνδρέας Τσιγκόπουλος: Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής της Σχολής Ναυτικών Δοκίμων (1997-σήμερα), ειδικός σε ασύρματες οπτικές επικοινωνίες (επίγειες και υποβρύχιες), ημιαγωγικά οπτικοηλεκτρονικά, επικοινωνίες οπτικών ινών, σχεδιασμό ηλεκτρονικών διατάξεων. Διευθυντής Έργων στην αμυντική βιομηχανία με κύρια επιτεύγματα το σχεδιασμό και την κατασκευή Κινητών Επιχειρησιακών Κέντρων και Κινητού Εργαστηρίου Ραδιομετρήσεων (2003-2005). Εμπειρογνώμονας και Σύμβουλος σε διάφορες εταιρείες τηλεπικοινωνιών (1996-2003). Ερευνητής της Ομάδας Οπτικοηλεκτρονικής του Τμήματος Πληροφορικής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (1991-1996). Συγγραφέας ή συν-συγγραφέας περισσότερων από 100 άρθρων σε διεθνή περιοδικά και πρακτικά συνεδρίων. Προσκεκλημένος πρόεδρος και μέλος οργανωτικών και τεχνικών επιτροπών πολλών διεθνών διασκέψεων, αναθεωρητής επτά διεθνών επιστημονικών περιοδικών, ελεγκτής διαφόρων σχεδίων Ε & Α, πρόεδρος των επιτροπών τεχνικής αξιολόγησης διαφόρων ευρωπαϊκών συγχρηματοδοτούμενων έργων ΤΠΕ.
Dr. Andreas Tsigkopoulos is Associate Professor of Hellenic Naval Academy (1997-today), and holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, MSc from Telecom Paris, France and PhD from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications (1991) National Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is an expert in Wireless Optical Communications (terrestrial and underwater), Semiconductor Optoelectronics, Optical Fiber Communications, Electronic Design. Project Manager in the defence industry with main achievements the design and building of Mobile Command Centers and Mobile Radiological Laboratory (2003-2005). Expert engineer and Consultant in various telecommunications companies (1996-2003). Senior Researcher of the Optoelectronics Group of the Informatics Department of the University of Athens (1991-1996). Author or co-author of more than 100 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. Invited chairman and member of organizing and technical committees of many international conferences, reviewer of seven international scientific journals, auditor of various R&D projects, chairman of the technical evaluation committees of various ICT European co-funded projects.
